This isn't just an issue for pasting from another program. I've seen it get stuck on a copy and paste from within Whiteboard, it will not change the contents of the clipboard.
One thing I have seen is if I do a copy and paste from say an image, then try to do a copy and paste of another image, it won't put the new image into the clipboard, so when I do a paste, I keep getting the first image. However, if I copy something different, like a drawing, that seems to fix the problem and from then on copy paste seems to work with everything.
This doesn't happen all the time, so it's not really reproducible, but it happens often.

Agreed, and the laser should be available for the pen when it's hovering so the students can see where the pen is about to write.
Currently I use MS Whiteboard with Zoom and have the Zoom annotation pointer on my mouse cursor which works, but it would be better if I could have it on the pen as well.
This would be very useful for teaching so students could quickly interact with just their mouse while the teacher was explaining something on the Whiteboard.
If you do this, it would be nice to be able to define new stamps too.
