Improve the stability - crashes and hangs
Using this tool to draw/take notes during meetings. Crashed 4 times during a one hour meeting. Had to restart to get back and redraw anything that was lost. Another day was trying to show someone else my notes from a previous meeting and explain how the tool could be used, It would allow me about one action and then locked up. I waited several times for quite a while and it didn't return, so it wasn't slow performance it was locked.

I had an update in Whiteboard yesterday. I had a session booked to use it today and it has crashed on me about 10 times during the meeting. This was a training session to show some of the Whiteboard features so it didn't show it in the best light!
I haven't had any issues with crashing until today so wonder if it was something i n the update? it does lag often but never crashed out so many times before -

It keeps crashing while having online meeting. Not able to recover work. Not able to copy work into another whiteboard. Can Microsoft please help to recover? Else, 4 days worth of work has gone to waste. Thank you.

It crashed continuously on me while in a collaborative session - w 4-5 others.
Meeting was in TEAMS.
Was running the desktop app on PC.A workaround I used: Create a private board, then copy all + paste in the shared board (quickly before it was crashing again).

A great application that is performing terribly, a stable whiteboard with these features would be a complete gamechanger.

Agreed, when trying to provide an online class it is embarrassing, the refresh between one device and another can also be dire at times leading to opening it in multiple windows and refreshing them manually to keep up.

I have been using this app for several years now and it never used to crash nor hang or get very slow. It started doing so only recently. Roughly at the same time the icon became more colourful. I am not suggesting that it is the icon to blame (unlikely), just giving a rough indication of the moment it started getting a lot worse. I am quite disappointed the way this app is going.

Same! It's embarrassing to have crashes when you're in the middle of online teaching. I actually love the features but hate the bugs. I hope Microsoft can fix this soon!

I have also experienced frequent crashes by Whiteboard. It needs to be a lot more stable to be reasonably usable (using on Surface Pro 4 and Lenovo Thinkpad T580 - both experience instability). This has now become an important primary application in the COVID-19 era.

I really want to like this application, but it seems features are being added too quickly with no thought to stability or performance. I am looking for small features(like being able to title and organize boards better), but now with the latest update, my boards aren't even saving to the Cloud (appearing as red), and when I try to delete them, it crashes. I am logged in, so its unclear why it can't save to the cloud when all of my other O365 services are working.

Same here, and what is really a bummer is that everything locks up and I have to manually restart the computer. Could it be that this is Zoom causing the problem? The tablet is a new Surface Pro 7, could it be that I need to reinstall windows or something? I really need to find a solution to this, because I'm a math tutor and it really frustrates my student who I'm working with in Zoom meetings.

It is too resource-eating, it starts to get slows when there's too many contents on the board. Compared to some other web app, those feel very smooth.

I agree that this is a HUGE problem. I was excited to discover this app. However, it hangs so frequently that I am debating whether or not it is even worth using. I even began to wonder if someone else was controlling my computer remotely because of some of the random things that this app has been doing. I have also been doing some research into alternatives. Please fix this issue.

Definitely this. Our organisation has office365, and I've been pretty disappointed that this application is so poor (especially when using it with multiple other users concurrently). It gets so laggy that you can't erase/draw anything, and random lines start appearing.The irony is that whiteboard on the web is a paid-for part of o365 (I think anyway? I can't find it on my personal non0365 microsoft account, but its there on my org account) and I've had to switch to a free online alternative which is 1000x better.
