Improve the stability - crashes and hangs
Using this tool to draw/take notes during meetings. Crashed 4 times during a one hour meeting. Had to restart to get back and redraw anything that was lost. Another day was trying to show someone else my notes from a previous meeting and explain how the tool could be used, It would allow me about one action and then locked up. I waited several times for quite a while and it didn't return, so it wasn't slow performance it was locked.

Whiteboard app crashes, as soon as we try to write and have a screen connected via HDMI
have that with two new laptops.
remove HDMI - no crash
Use www-whiteboard via office.com + HDMI connected - all works. -

Completely unreliable in Teams and for use in any presentation situation without making the person presenting look like an imbecile.

Crashed and froze screen during Zoom meeting and had to force shut down my whole laptop to be able to do anything. Could not get the app working again and had to uninstall and reinstall.

Locks up, glitchy, unresponsive and image rotation with fingers on Surface Studio lags or freezes.

Came here to say the same thing. Whiteboard really struggles with launching and syncing across all of my devices and that's really concerning. Every-single-time I launch this app, there is a problem with data not being synced.
Until this app FEELS solid and mature, I cannot recommend this app to anyone.

Very specific crashing happening. With a dell tablet, on a dock with three displays... When one of the displays is set to replicate the tablet (So monitor 1 and 3 are the same) and you write on whiteboard with a solid color pen other than black - it will crash... And actually cause the drivers and monitors to blip to black. (A user reported that it lost it for days). When it is set to simply extend across these displays or with the ruler on (weird right) it will not crash...

I have found that the crashes occur if I tap on the screen with the pen, either intentionally or unintentionally. If I am very careful not to lift the pen and tap down again in quick succession, the app works great. Not really a great solution for when trying to highlight areas for students.

It crashed seven times today, and each time it did my screen would go black forcing me to restart like the original poster.
To the Dev team, What i noticed is while using the program is that while i could have a lot of stuff on a whiteboard at a single time, as soon as i tried to use the pen things went down hill. Now to illustrate how bad that the one selling point of this app is causing it to fail, it failed after writing more than 5 words at once multiple times and halfway through drafting a floor plan. If the pen tool was fixed, I would find this app more useful than google docs but as it is now it is to temperamental. -

When i use white board sharing, the system is hanging and i had to restart the system to login again.
several times i tried and it is hanging always. i had uninstalled and reinstalled 4 to 5 times but no use:-( -

I was in the middle of an online class and it creashed two times, stupid useless app, I'll never use it again, so thanks for nothing microsoft

Using a Dell Latitude 5290 2 in 1, it lags when I use the digital pen and mouse and will eventually go black. I have all of the latest Windows, Office 365 and Dell updates. Digital pen works as expected in OneNote.

My users are complaining about the performance of the product. The app is slow to load. Boards are slow to load or when they load it looks blank and users have to zoom out to find the notes. They are also frustrated with performance when several (15-20 users) of them are working on it at the same time it freezes up.

For me, it is appeared when I use it in HDMI output mirrored display. 100% reproducible with Lenovo Yoga gen2. Alternatively, I'm using PowerPoint with a blank slide.

It is really frustrating for crash middle of the online classes. Several times it crushed and with the same machine I was hosting. So had to restart to start normal. Again it crashed. I Microsoft Whiteboard developing team will work on the issue and settle this problem asap.

Totally agree with this complaint. It has been a really frustrating experince working on the whiteboard since it keeps crashing every other minute!. Microsoft, i urge you to please fix this!. Its wasting a lot of my time!

Similar issues experienced today as below. With a very senior audience in my firm where I was using Whiteboard Kanban template to gather feedback (18 users). Performance issues prevented full collaboration, the desktop app was being used. It froze several times and performance was very slow e.g. writing on a virual postit note. A 'complete fail' as one attendee put it.
