True export to OneNote
When the meeting is over, I want a fully editable copy to be exported into my notebook. Not just a screenshot.

Yes, please! I need to keep my notes in editable and searchable form. Please allow copying or exporting.

yes that would be really a big help and so we can come back working in a real contextual way in projects and so on... as it is now we go back working in silos as twenty years ago...

Export Text in any fashion! How did this not get included in v1? Retyping notes/data is a pain. Can't believe we can't copy/paste......

I'd consider here consolidate output in .pdf or .xlsx for items placed on grids. Those are fix formatted, so easy to convert into structured format (similarly to StormBoard feature)

Export + Import of an editable version is necessary, including each stroke and all elements.
This could be implemented using PDF or Windows Ink stroke data format.
@IanMikutel Be so kind and quickly respond. -

This is applicable not only to OneNote, but anywhere in general. Point is to be able to duplicate/copy/paste whiteboards with full functionality. Same whiteboard layout is sometimes needed again and drawing it from scratch defeats the purpose of the digital version.

It would be great to be able to archive the full whiteboard with embedded documents and notes into OneNote. Otherwise it becomes yet another one-off document hanging out there.

Great Idea! Often, a whiteboard is just the first step in a broader process with ongoing and linked to-do's. Editable export to personal or Teams OneNote would be really great. Maybe it's just me, but at the moment, I cannot export to OneNote at all, the button's there but it doesn't show any Notebook to share to.

Would be great if an export to OneNote (similar to the 2016 version) could be implemented. Alternatively: I have hope for SVG export or import to OneNote (UWP and 2016) and hope to be able to edit my drawings vectorized. The requests from customers and interested parties, especially for the Surface Hub, are incredibly high.

As of right now, OneNote export is broken. I cannot export anything to the current notebooks I have open in OneNote WUP nor can I to OneNote 2016.
When the app looks up my OneNote notebooks for export, all I see are two old ones which are actually gone. The other 15+ notebooks on my account are nowhere to be seen.
This issue makes Whiteboard unusable for me and mine.

In the meantime, include an image and a link to the Whiteboard. Anyone inside the organization with access to the OneNote would then have access to the Whiteboard.

Amen. I've written about this a lot.... Whiteboard is a beautiful creation space but students and teachers need a place to catalog and archive the content.

Our users love this on the existing Whiteboard app on Surface Hub, as it then allows them to use ink to text functionality. Glaring ommission in the new app
