The default English font and the default Japanese font are different. Moreover, the unity is lost because of the default English font with handwriting style. Perhaps all users typing the languages except alphabets suffer from same reason.

With the black background coming for Microsoft Whiteboard, it would be awesome to have a set of pens that have a chalk texture. Love that old school feeling.

A timer widget that could be inserted onto the whiteboard for timing activities and discussions

Allow the use of Whiteboard without requiring users to be signed in.

The same functionality can be seen on the Surface Hub version where a user account is not required to use Whiteboard.

For Kiosk and common use computers it is a security concern forcing users to sign in since they can forget to sign out and their credentials end up saved to the machine.

Add participant pointer that shows their name similar to the "laser pointer" in Skype's Whiteboard.

How can you have a markup took with no arrows. Not everyone has a touchscreen and using a mouse to draw an arrow makes them look off. Need either pre-formed arrows or draw to shape arrow option.

It is a basic functionality when recording or sharing a screen. If you want to beat Zoom you definitely need to add a laser pointer.

It would be nice to be able to change a group of sticky notes (all the same color) in a note grid to a different color all at once. It's so time consuming to have to go through each one and do it individually.

I tried "Send to OneNote" under settings, and no results are shown under My Notebooks, even though I can print to OneNote from PowerPoint.

This could allow users to quickly jump between multiple open whiteboards. Right now you have to back out of (close) a whiteboard to open another one, then repeat to go back. Should be a quick tab experience. Thanks!

Whiteboard is great. But teams comprise members from many different organisations. The ability to use Whiteboard to collaborate with guests outside the main tenant e.g. a advertising company, or law firm, or technology partner would make the tool so much more useful.

Add a way to create mindmaps https://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carte_heuristique to the Whiteboard software. That is very useful and simple solutions do not exist on the market.

Also make it possible to export the whiteboard in HTML, PDF etc formats.

A set of basic arrangement tools (mainly sorting and grouping of objects) as they exist in e. g. PowerPoint would be great. It has been happening to students that newly added pictures disappear behind a preexisting Picture.

Offer more fonts, for the text!

The default font is ugly, not accessible and it lacks special characters for non-English languages.

With the new update the Send to OneNote possibility is enticing. I'd like to see more control over selecting which notebooks I can send to. Right now, the only notebooks that show are ones I created years years ago and haven't used since. Very few of my current notebooks show up in the selection list and there is no option to open other notebooks.
