Use Whiteboard on a Mac (part deux)
There is very current reason that people may be looking to work from home that's driving this question. We have departments that are mainly Mac users and looking to collaborate on whiteboards. There was the article a year and a half ago where there was no plans at the time. Has the stance changed? https://whiteboard.uservoice.com/forums/915913-whiteboard-for-iphone-ipad/suggestions/34381366-use-whiteboard-on-a-mac
Whiteboard on MacOS would be great

Whiteboard app for MacOS is essential - remote collaboration for all users is the new normal
Whiteboard app for MacOS or webapp please.

I would hope with Rosetta 2 and Big Sur this should negate most of the issues in this thread as, at the very least, the iPad version will run on macOS. But a fully fledged macOS version would be appreciated still.

Our org need this feature as well.

Our company has thousands of designers using Macs that need the functionality from the iOS version to share to users on Windows 10. The web version is missing too many features and is not a good substitute. With Apple Catalyst it would be easy for MS to port over the iOS version to macOS. We are forced to look at competing platforms due to this glaring hole in the product offering.

Cmon Microsoft. This kind of feature lag makes my role as an adoption specialist really dull: " at the moment there is no plan for MS to create a Mac app" so you'll just have to find something else or use the kindergarten-level browser version. It's like a recipe for creating shadow IT. *yawns*

Our company is split between MURAL for our Mac population (developers, designers, data scientists, ...) and MS Whiteboard for our Windows population. It is frustrating to pay for both platforms and support them both due to a lack of development to get MS Whiteboard on macSO or bring all the client features from Windows OS to the web browser.
It doesn't matter that you don't have a touch interface on a MacBook because it is not just about inking and freehand drawing. There is so much more with pasting images to your board, sticky note sessions, insert shapes, text, etc. We have almost 200 people on Macs using MURAL with no problem.
This really should be a focus area of MS.

MacOS vs Microsoft Edge chromium
Today there is Microsoft Edge chromium for MAC and PC. If whiteboard web is built with full functionality for Microsoft Edge chromium, a platform is created to collaborate for the majority platforms.
And if an app is created for MacOS in the same way as Windows, iOS, and so on, that's fine.
What goes fastest a version for Microsoft Edge chromium or a MacOS app.
I compare MS Whiteboard with Miro die multiplatform works great.

Couldn't agree more. The disconnect you feel when the rest of the team uses PCs and clain that MS Whiteboard app is good enough but on a Mac or Web not all features are available.
I support this ... I am using on the Ipados and also as a webapp ... however some decent Macos app would be nice
There is a web version but that doesn't solve the MAC OS specific app. It would be nice to have a MAC app when there are so many other Office 365 apps for MAC as well. It would just add to the integrations today.
i would like to see a native app for Whiteboard on my OSX laptop. The current options in whiteboard (webinterface) with pencils only is to limited to collaborate. Make this nice tool better by improving the seamless integration on all OS.
